2 dead in fatal crash near 24th and Howard
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Thursday, Feb. 29 around 10 p.m. near 24th and Howard Ave.
A gray Toyota Camry was going west on Howard Ave. at a high rate of speed when it lost control and ran into a tree.
According to authorities, there were three people in the car, all 24-years-old.
Two of the people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was one of the victims. She was identified by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office as Gabriela Pantoja.
The third person fled the scene on foot but was later taken into custody, reportedly for something not related to this incident.
