A break from the heat...for now!

Talk about a noticeable difference across southeastern Wisconsin today!  The dewpoints dropped from the middle 70s Sunday to the lower 60s today, and it felt completely different this afternoon.

Today Milwaukee reached 80 degrees for the 5th consecutive day.  3 of those days were in the middle 90s.  The record consecutive 80+ degree streak occurred in August of 2016 at 20 days.

Milwaukee has reached 90 degrees a total of 6 times in 2018.  The average is 9 days with the record of 36 days in 1988.

The break from the heat and humidity will be short lived.  Temps will near 90 again toward Wednesday and Thursday; however, the 80+ degree streak could end on Friday with highs in the 70s.
