Fall weather finally arrives to end the week

It's been a very hot start to the month of October with four straight days in the 80s. We even tied the all time warmest low temperature for October on Wednesday as temps only dropped down to 70°!

Cold front number one moved through early this morning and finally knocked the humidity out of here. Cold front number two arrives tonight and will be responsible for knocking the warmth out of here. Temps will still top out in the low 70s today but will struggle to get out of the 50s for highs through the weekend and into early next week.

Not only will temps be cool during the day, but it's going to get chilly at night. Inland spots well away from the lake could even flirt with temps close to frost territory by the middle of next week.

Spotty showers afternoon and evening showers along with blustery conditions are expected behind the cold front on Friday with the windy staying blustery into Saturday.
