WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Five people were restrained and held against their will after two armed men entered a Wauwatosa duplex Thursday night.
Police say it happened near 116th and Watertown Plank Road around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
People from two units were restrained. One of the units had three adults and a child inside. The other unit had one adult.
Authorities say the victims were unable to call police until the suspects left, around 12:30 a.m. The 5-year-old child and an adult were taken to the hospital with head injuries. The adult was treated and released but the child remains in the hospital.
Police believe the family was targeted for money and financial information. They are having a difficult time getting information from the victims due to a language barrier.
Police are still searching for the suspects but say there is no immediate danger to the public.
Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area between 8 p.m. to 12:38 a.m. is asked to call Wauwatosa Police at 414-471-8430.
