McDonald's hoping to hire 5,500 new employees in Wisconsin this summer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- McDonald’s are hoping to hire about 5,500 restaurant employees in Wisconsin to better serve customers during the busy summer season.

Any McDonald's worker interested in pursuing an education while employed can take part in the Archways to Opportunity program which recently lowered eligibility requirements from nine months to 90 days of employment and dropping weekly shift minimums from 20 hours to 15 hours. New summer restaurant employees eligible by the end of the season.

Eligible employees will have access to $2,500 a year in tuition assistance, up from $700 a year and eligible managers will have access to $3,000 a year, up from $1,050.
