Milwaukee fire officials pull man's body from Menomonee River

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Authorities had a grim discovery in the Menomonee River Monday morning, March 21. 

The Milwaukee Fire Department dive-rescue team pulled a man's body from the water near 21st and Mount Vernon Avenue just before 10 a.m.

Police say the 51-year-old man was pronounced deceased.

The cause of death is under investigation, but officials say it does not appear suspicious at this time. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy.
