Milwaukee Police investigating five Saturday shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating four separate shootings from Saturday.

The first happened around 7:00 a.m. when officers responded to the area of 69th and Florist for a non-fatal shooting. A 24-year-old man was involved in a domestic dispute which escalated into gunfire. The victim received a non-fatal gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.

Around 5:20 p.m., officers responded to 37th and Townsend for a reported shooting. Officers discovered that two groups of people had been throwing punches off and on throughout the day. During an evening fight a suspect got a gun and fired several times into the crowd. A 23-year-old man was hit and taken to the hospital.

The third shooting happened around 9:30 p.m., when officers were called to the scene of a non-fatal shooting near 37th and Hampton. People were arguing over shared property when a suspect got a gun and shot a 32-year-old man. Police are looking for a known suspect.

The last shooting happened just after 11 p.m. when two victims in a shooting arrived separately at the hospital. A 22-year-old man said he was driving past a crash near Hampton and Fond du Lac when he was hit by gunshots. The second victim was a 20-year-old man who was walking when someone tried to rob him. The two shootings aren't related and Milwaukee Police are investigating.
