Milwaukee Police officers taken to hospital after being exposed to blood

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Milwaukee Police officers are being treated at a local hospital after being exposed to blood.

Milwaukee Police responded to a suicide attempt near 46th and Locust around 4 p.m. on Monday.

As officers were attempting to detain a suicidal subject, one officer suffered a minor injury. Both officers were exposed to the subject's blood.

Officers and the subject are being treated at a local hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing.
