Winter Weather Advisory issued ahead of wintry mix on Monday
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A car rolled over after crashing into several parked vehicles, including a Milwaukee Police squad cars Monday morning.
It happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. near 47th and Vliet.
According to MPD, the squads were parked near the Neighborhood Task Force Building. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Vliet when the crash occurred.
A witness says she was outside smoking a cigarette when she heard a loud noise that sounded like a garbage truck slamming down a dumpster and when she went to check it out she saw a vehicle on its side with a woman inside in the backseat.
That's when she decided to go get help for the woman at the nearby MPD Neighborhood Task Force Building. She describes what happened next.
"I see a lady with a hand on her window," Taylor Fleck. "I'm asking her if she's okay and she kind of said yes, so I go to the police station and I'm banging on their door. I'm ringing their buzzer like there's a lady out here. She's trapped in her car. They said okay we're coming. So, I go back to her car. I'm talking to her and asking her if she's okay."
Authorities tell CBS 58 the female driver suffered a medical emergency at the time of the crash.
There were not any officers in the parked squad car at the time. No injuries were reported.
