GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is in jail after police say the suspect began yelling and throwing things in the lobby of the Grafton Police Department.
According to investigators, the person came into the lobby around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday and began yelling and kicked a hole in the wall. Police say the suspect then pulled pictures off the walls and threw them across the lobby, destroying them. The suspect then pulled education literature containers and materials off the walls and threw them around the lobby. A conference room door, located off the lobby area was also damaged.
The dispatcher notified officers and requested assistance and was able to keep responding officers informed of the suspect's actions and movements.
When officers arrived, the suspect was about to leave through the front entrance. The officers then confronted the suspect who then surrendered.
The suspect was taken to the Ozaukee County Jail. It's believed the suspect may have been high on drugs at the time of the incident.
