MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A 9,000 pound bronze sculpture is being installed outside Milwaukee’s City Hall.
The piece of art debuted last year during “Sculpture Milwaukee”. An anonymous donor of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation provided a grant to permanently install the artwork outside of City Hall.
The sculpture is called “Mixed Feelings” and was created by British artist Tony Cragg.
“By putting this piece in front of City Hall, in a way, it is like an official recognition that so much of what makes the city vibrant is our cultural environment,” Project director Marilu Knode said.
Sculpture Milwaukee will return for a second year in June. Twenty-two sculptures will be placed on Wisconsin Avenue.
An official unveiling of “Mixed Feelings” will be held in the coming weeks.
