The first accumulating snow of the season

The average Milwaukee snow for November is just over 2 inches.  While it's not a particularly snowy month, storm systems can provide quick bursts of snow that can cause some travel issues.

Our first chance for accumulating snow is forecast to arrive late Thursday night into Friday.  Right now it appears that most of the snow will arrive overnight; however, some lingering snow showers could impact the morning commute.

The track of this storm is well to our south.  Right now it appears a dusting to 1" is likely across southeastern Wisconsin.  Most of the accumulation would occur on the grassy surfaces.  Temperatures in the 20s for Friday morning could mean some slick spots on the roads.

We will continue to update the forecast as the week moves along.
