Two injured in shootings Thursday evening and Friday morning in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people were injured in separate shootings Thursday night in Milwaukee.

The first happened around 6 p.m. during a robbery near 62nd and Silver Spring. A 28-year-old woman was sitting in a car with a friend when a suspect approached, displayed a gun and announced a robbery. During the crime, the suspect shot the victim. The woman later walked into the hospital and is expected to survive.

The second non-fatal shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Friday near 30th and Cherry. The 39-year-old victim said he was sitting in a car with someone when they started fighting. During the fight, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the man. The victim was able to get out of the car and run to a nearby fire station for help. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Milwaukee Police are looking for suspects in each case.
