Police confirm that they did not have to use any force during the incident.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- As many were getting ready to head home for the night, police in tactical gear converged on the area of 60th and Washington in West Allis.

There was a report of a disturbance and a firearm could possibly be involved.

Responding officers immediately set up a perimeter.

Live on the CBS 58 News at 4 the response unfolded live for television viewers to watch.

Our news crew in a position dictated by police so as not to give away all the coordinates of the officers involved.

For a brief moment, officers in tactical gear with guns drawn moved in with caution to an area of interest.

In order to protect their movements, our cameras could only show so much.

A full 45 minutes later and that group of officers had still not emerged from their area of interest.

Shortly after 5 p.m. police emerged in a stand-down position along the perimeter.

The scene was cleared.
