Woman escaped from Racine County Prison through loose prison gate

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A criminal complaint reveals how Christine Abel escaped from a Racine County Prison last month.

Abel, who was captured in Green Bay, told investigators that she slipped through a loose prison gate and then walked to a nearby barn.

She then changed her clothes, found a truck with keys in the ignition, and drove it to Green Bay.

Abel now faces several new charges which include Escape and Operating a Vehicle WIthout the Owner's Consent.
