Neighbors speak to CBS 58 about Waukesha victim; Police continue investigation
Waukesha police are investigating a "suspicious death" at 402 Wisconsin Avenue after being called to the apartment building at 7:15 p.m. Monday (Sept. 14). The man, 45, was found dead inside his apartment.
Berg Management is the company that manages the apartment building. Catherine Huelsman is one of the general managers. She said Tim had been a tenant since 2012. She wouldn't release his last name. However, she said the company is cooperating with police and sends her condolences to his family and friends.
Neighbors said the man worked as a custodian at the Waukesha Public Library.
Kyle Villarreal said he met Tim four years ago when he used to live in building.
“If it's truly suspicious then I hope they find out who did it," Villarreal said. "If it's a physical thing, life is life there's nothing you can do about that."
"But he's way too young to have a heart attack. I seriously doubt he had a stroke," he said.
Villarreal describes the man as being a "good guy" who enjoyed painting. “He was a great guy to me, always smiled, never got in anyone’s face," he said.
The Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy. Police are also working with the District Attorney's office.
"It does seem odd but I'm glad because if something did happen wrong we know they're on it," said Wendy Beaundry, who lives nearby. "I've lived here four years and it's the first time I've seen something like this."
In the meantime, police haven't made any arrests in this case.
