Flight for Life Called after Child Suffers Head Injury at Donges Bay Elementary

Friday afternoon at approximately 12:15 PM a child playing outside at Donges Bay Elementary School in the Mequon-Thiensville School District sustained a head injury, according to a release from the district. School personnel immediately called emergency services and contacted the child’s family. An ambulance arrived on the scene and emergency medical technicians assessed the situation.
As a precautionary measure due to the nature of the injury, Flight For Life was dispatched. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
Donges Bay was put on administrative lockdown per procedure, and additional student services staff were sent to Donges Bay to support any students who may need assistance.
