Pleasant Prairie Elementary School Students Thank Officers that responded to Bomb Threat

The students and staff at Pleasant Prairie Elementary School gave a high five and special thank you to the first responders who helped them through a scary time.

Smiles and laughter replaced the worry and anxiety of the day when the school was evacuated because of a bomb threat that turned out to be a hoax.

Also on hand the students of St. Anne's which offered shelter and comfort to the younger children

“We just have so much respect for Mr. Gayle and his school and the operation he runs here. It's great for my officers to see this appreciation is out there,” said Chief David Smetana, Pleasant Prairie Fire Chief.

The students tell us everyone around them who was in charge was so calm that it took the nervousness away as they waited for their parents to pick them up.
