Marquette University’s Law Poll found that 86% surveyed said police in their community made them feel mostly safe.

According to the poll, 12% said they felt mostly anxious because of police.

Among black and Hispanics who were polled, 57% said police make them feel mostly safe, 37% said mostly anxious.

Among non-Hispanic whites, 90% said police make them feel mostly safe, 9% said mostly anxious.

New Marquette Law School Poll interviewed 803 registered voters in WI by landline and cell phone.

Statewide the poll found 37% said Milwaukee’s unrest was due to decades of disadvantage for blacks.

Of those surveyed, 57% say due to lack of respect for law and order.
