Wisconsin Couple Arrested for Child Neglect after Clown Prank

A Wisconsin couple was charged with child neglect after they left their 4-year-old home alone and went out dressed up like clowns at 2:30 AM.

According to Menasha Police, the incident occurred on Friday.

Menasha Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Appleton Rd and Midway Road for the report of people wearing clown masks chasing after vehicles in the area.

Officers located two men who were involved in the incident. They also found a 26 year old woman in the area in a vehicle who had been driving the two men around the area.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that the  29 year old male and 26 year old female had left their 4 year old child at home unattended for a minimum of a few hours while they were out participating in this prank.

As a result, the child was placed by the Department of Human Services outside of the home and the parents were referred to court on charges of Child Neglect. The female was also held in the Winnebago County Jail on a probation hold. The 20 year old male was not charged in the incident.
