Racine police make arrest in fatal hit-and-run near 8th and Main

UPDATED: 12:21 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2023:

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The name of a man arrested in the case of a fatal hit and run has been released by Racine police, as well as the identity of the victim.

A report from Racine PD reports that 28-year-old Justin S. Moser from Racine has been arrested. He faces charges of hit-and-run involving death, and knowing operating while suspended causing death.

The victim has been identified as 62-year-old Douglas K. Lueck.


RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Racine police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred Thursday night, Nov. 9.

Officials say a 62-year-old pedestrian was struck near 8th and Main Street just after 8 p.m. He was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

The vehicle did not remain on scene but was later located. Police are still looking for the driver.
