1 dead after vehicle pulled from water in Oak Creek

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is dead after a vehicle submerged in water on Saturday, July 13.

It happened around 10:55 p.m. near the Bender Park boat launch in Oak Creek. 

The Oak Creek Fire Department says the first arriving unit located a vehicle in Lake Michigan around 50 feet from the boat launch and around 8-10 feet from the water. 

The fire department removed one occupant from the vehicle, and the individual was deceased. 

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 63-year-old Robert Morales of Milwaukee. 

The Milwaukee Fire Department's Dive Team searched the water surrounding the submerged vehicle and did not locate any additional occupants. 

 The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
