BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A very special fundraiser was held in Brookfield.
A silent auction was held at the Wisconsin Athletic Club for "The Beat Goes On" foundation.
The organization was founded in 2016 after Dan and Christine Roehling's twin 1-year-old daughters each went through a heart transplant at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
They want to raise awareness about organ donation and the need for pediatric heart research.
"It's a continuing journey, we don't know when they'll reject or when they'll need a new heart, or when they'll get sick, you know right now, life is good and we are thankful for that and we just want to give back as much as possible," said mother Christine Roehling.
Mom says the now 3-year-olds are thriving right now because of the tremendous doctors at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
