MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Lake Geneva Badger advanced to state for the first time in its school's history playing in the Division 2 State Championship Game.
The Badgers ran for a D-2 title game record 451 rushing yards on way to a 34-33 win. The Badgers stopped the Waunakee Warriors on a 2-pt attempt with 40 seconds left to seal the win.
This is the Badgers second ever state title in any sport, after winning a boy's golf championship in 1994.
