MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a shooting near 35th and Clarke.
The shooting happened around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Medical Examiner's Office was also called out to the scene.
There are currently no details on what led up to the shooting or the identity of the victim.
The investigation remains ongoing.
“I heard about seven to eight shots when I came out the house, she was laying on the ground by the driver side door and people were out there trying to help her," said a witness.
This is the sixth homicide that Milwaukee Police have been called out to since Monday.

The family of the 23-year-old woman didn't want to talk on camera but they describe her as a fun and loving mom.
