MPD investigating two Friday night shootings

A late night disagreement between a group of men lead to the shooting and wounding of a 31-year-old  man.   The shooting happened around 10:10 PM in the area of N 41st Street and W Garfield Avenue.  According to the MPD, the victim was involved in a verbal argument with a group of men.   As the argument grew, one of the men fired multiple gunshots, striking the victim.   The victim was taken to a local hospital by family members with what the Police describe as a non-fatal gunshot injury.   The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident and is searching for a suspect.

Earlier in the evening, a man was wounded as he was walking along a city street in the area of S 14th Street and W Greenfield Avenue.   According to the MPD, a 23-year-old man was walking in the area around 7:45 PM when an unknown subject fired several gunshots at him.   The victim felt pain and realized that he had been shot.  Milwaukee Fire Department personnel treated the man at the scene for a non-fatal gunshot wound and then transported him to a local hospital.   The MPD  is searching for a suspect as they  continue to investigate the shooting.
