MPD investigating two separate shootings Friday night

The Milwaukee Police are investigating two shootings that happened late Friday night.   Fortunately, neither victim was seriously wounded in the separate incidents.

Around 9:15 PM, a 23-year-old man was shot while sitting in a vehicle in the area of N 59st Street and W Appleton Avenue.   According initial reports from the MPD, the victim was shot in the hand.   He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injury.   The incident is under investigation and the Police are looking for suspects.

Late Friday night, a 16-year-old man walked into a local hospital seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.   According to the MPD, the shooting happened in the area of S 14th and W Mineral Streets around 11 PM.   The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
