Quiet pattern until late this week

A large area of high pressure to our northeast will keep the temperatures below average and give us dry weather for the next several days. After our warmest day of the month yesterday, today and most of this week will feature highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Sunshine will be in, with some cloud cover.

A complicated forecast takes over late this week with an area of low pressure flying out of the Rockies by Friday and Saturday. There are still some differences in the computer models, but this could mean not only a pattern switch, also precipitation returning to the picture. A rain/mix could be possible by then. One of our computer models is taking the storm farther south, which could mean less of a chance of precipitation. Another one of our forecast models indicates a more direct hit with both rain and snow. We will not have a clear direction on the forecast until late this week!

It’s a story and forecast we will be watching closely! Stay tuned!
