Rain And Wind End The Week

It was a glorious week across the area. We had plenty of sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures in the 70s. That weather came to a crashing halt as a powerful cold front swept through the area last night. The front brought a decent amount of rain through the viewing area. Here's a look at the rain totals:

The other part of the story was the wind!  I don't know about you, but that wind woke me up last night. Wind gusts exceeded fifty miles per hour in spots. Check out a sample of the highest wind gusts from the storm:

The good news is that although a return to fall like temperatures is with us, the wind is expected to ease tonight. The weekend will come with a mix of sun & clouds on Saturday and mostly sunny conditions Sunday. Highs Saturday will top near 50 with mid 50s on Sunday.  Next week temps will warm to near 60 by Tuesday before our next rain chance arrives Wednesday into Thursday.
