Report: Craig Counsell interviewing with New York Mets

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Brewers have a few more months before they get to play again, but will it be with their longtime manager Craig Counsell?

ESPN reports he's talking with the New York Mets. 

Counsell's contract ended with the Brewers' early exit from the playoffs, and the Mets have been looking to replace their manager who was fired earlier this month. 

If Counsell goes to New York, he would be reunited with former Brewers executive David Stearns, who left Milwaukee last fall.
