MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Federal indictments have been announced against three people for multiple robberies of taxi cab drivers and gas station employees in Milwaukee. The robberies happened from August 22 until August 25.

22-year-old Nicki Foster, 24-year-old Marquel Johnson, and 27-year-old Martell Ford have been charged.

Foster and Johnson are charged with committing four robberies of taxi cab drivers and in some cases shooting a gun. During the taxi robberies, Foster was a passenger when she pulled out a gun and demanded money and other items from the drivers. The two are also charged with the robbery of the Petro Mart on Chase Avenue that happened August 23. The two entered the gas station and shot the employee in the head before emptying the cash from the register.

Ford has been charged with one taxi robbery. Both Ford and Johnson are charged with an attempted robbery of a BP Gas Station on Plankinton Avenue. During the robbery, the clerk locked the doors trapping Johnson inside. She was eventually able to get out but was chased by police later in the day leading to her arrest.

Each suspect faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
