Woman stabbed in Waukesha, police have suspect in custody

Waukesha Police have a suspect in custody following a stabbing Saturday night.   Around 6:15 PM, the Police received the report of a woman who had been  stabbed in the back and was lying on the ground in the area of  Rock Street and Whiterock Avenue.   When they arrived at the scene, the police found the woman lying in a yard with a knife in her back.  The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is described as a non-fatal wound.   A male suspect was later located by police and taken into custody.    The Waukesha Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
