MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 23-year-old is dead and a 19-year-old is hurt following a shooting near Hopkins and Fairmount. 

Police were called to the scene just after 6 a.m. 

Officials say the 19-year-old victim was transported to a hospital with non-fatal injuries. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
