Chipotle Goal: 4,000 New Workers In One Day

Mexican food restaurant chain Chipotle is planning to hire 4,000 new workers around the country in a single day.  The company has announced a National Career Day for Wednesday, September 9.  

On that day, candidates are encouraged to come in for interviews at any Chipotle restaurant.  The positions available are for entry-level jobs, with an average wage of about $10 an hour. But the company emphasizes that there are opportunities to move ahead.  A press release says that 10,000 entry-level workers were promoted to management positions over the last year.
