CBS 58’s Feel Good Fridays: Arts, sports and family fun
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hundreds of people gathered Friday, June 13 for the grand opening of the new Marcia P. Coggs Health & Human Services Center.

Named after a political pioneer, Marcia Coggs, the first Black woman elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly.
The building acts as a resource for those in need of quality health and human services.
Inspired by the impact Coggs left on Milwaukee, founders hope to create an inclusive environment for all who walk through the doors.
"It's the mission of DHHS, to empower people to live safe, healthy and meaningful lives," said Shakita LaGrant-McClain, executive with DHHS. "This is more than a building...this truly is a lifeline."
The new facility is also home to a new location of NourishMKE, Milwaukee's largest network of community food centers.
