Jewish Museum Milwaukee to host Christmas screening of '9 to 5' and coloring workshop
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Jewish Museum Milwaukee is combining the joy of a trip to the movies with the creativity of art.
The museum is set to host a special screening of the 1980s comedy "9 to 5" followed by a coloring workshop. The Christmas Day event aims to offer activities for both children and adults. Visitors can enjoy the film from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., and participate in the coloring workshop between 1 and 3:30 p.m.
The workshop, led by visiting artist Jac Lahav, will feature oversized coloring book pages. These pages are designed to spotlight lesser-known stories and figures in American history, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
These pages will later be assembled into a collective tapestry, symbolizing a more inclusive narrative of American history.
Admission is set at $9 for adults, $8 for seniors aged 60 and over and disabled visitors with ID and $6 for students. Entrance is free for museum members, children and active-duty military personnel.
