6 injured, 1 arrested after multi-vehicle accident on Milwaukee's northwest side

MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- A total of six people are hurt and one person arrested following a three-vehicle accident on Milwaukee's northwest side during the late hours of Monday, Jun. 9. 

Milwaukee Police say at around 11:38 p.m. a vehicle ran a red light and hit two other vehicles near 43rd and Mill Road. 

The 22-year-old male driver of the vehicle that ran the red light has been arrested and taken to a hospital.

MPD says three other passengers of that vehicle, two 22-year-olds and a 20-year-old, were also injured and taken to the hospital. 

A 69-year-old driver of the one of the vehicles that was hit was injured and taken to the hospital. 

First responders also took the driver of the third vehicle, a 57-year-old, to the hospital for treatment. 

MPD says criminal charges for the arrested driver will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
