$1.65M pledge aims to bolster Milwaukee's art community

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Johnson Controls Foundation has announced a three-year, $1,650,000 commitment to the United Performing Arts Fund, targeted at benefiting Milwaukee's art community through 2025.

The pledge was announced in a press release on Wednesday, May 3.

In addition to annual contributions, the foundation will designate a portion of the pledge to UPAF members, affiliates and community impact programs, including UPAF's Connect and Bright Minds initiatives.

The support will focus on programming in neighborhoods surrounding Johnson Controls' headquarters in Glendale.

UPAF President and CEO Patrick Rath expressed gratitude for the commitment in a statement, citing the importance of corporate support in recovering from COVID-19-related revenue losses. The Johnson Controls Foundation will also continue matching employee gifts through its Milwaukee workplace giving campaign.
