40s abound for the new week with a few shower chances
Forty degrees is a possibility on Sunday to kick off the new week. Not everyone reaches the 40 degree mark but upper 30s look good for most. More 40s are expected all week long as every day has trended warmer with the forecast. Monday could even make a run at 50!
The return of some warmth and 40s arrives after a couple of cold weeks in southeast Wisconsin. Most of February has been below average and the temperature hasn't reached 32 degrees or warmer since February 8th - over two weeks ago!
With the arrival of mild air will come some more clouds. Most of Sunday will be mostly cloudy but sunshine is expected to briefly return Sunday. We can't rule out a few flurries flying around with the clouds on Sunday. Monday has a bit of a better chance to see some showers which could linger a touch into Tuesday. No big storm systems over the next few days and no accumulating snow is expected.
The showers on Monday overall look pretty isolated with not everyone seeing rain. Timing for isolated showers is possible in the morning and afternoon but looks best in the evening. With all of the warm air expected, all of the precipitation Monday should stay rain.
