45-year-old man killed in Dodge County crash
TOWN OF BEAVER DAM (CBS 58) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says a 45-year-old man from Palmyra is dead after he struck a parked vehicle and crashed into a tree in the town of Beaver Dam.
Officials say they were called to the scene on County Road G near Canary Road on Sat. Oct. 13th at around 8:38 p.m.
Upon arrival, they located a lone occupant of a black 2009 Cadillac CTS who died at the scene.
A preliminary investigation shows the Cadillac, driven by the 45-year-old man was southbound on County Road G before running off the roadway into a private driveway.
Officials say the Cadillac then struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle and went further into the private yard, before striking the tree and coming to a stop.
Excessive speed is believed to be a factor at this time.
This crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team. The name of the driver is being withheld pending family notification.
