WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- December had some surprises in store for people in Wisconsin. No, not a white Christmas as Bing Crosby would have wanted but a string of days set to reach as high as the '50s.
"Today was just a beautiful day outside. Quite honestly, it was something that was owed us. We had a horrible, horrible November," said Mark Jens, who was golfing at the Currie Park Golf Course in Wauwatosa on Saturday afternoon.
Jens called the weekend of warm weather an "excellent Christmas present."
Another golfer, Leonard Hillard, said he usually golfs four times a week but didn't expect the golf season to extend into December.
"We have fluctuation in weather and we watch it closely," Hillard said. "If the golf course is open, we will come."
But warm weather doesn't mean golf for everyone. Some Wisconsinites spent the day walking on the trails, shopping ahead of the holidays or scrubbing the salt off their cars. The Mister Car Wash had a line extending out of the parking lot on Saturday afternoon.
