MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A few weeks ago, we first reported on what we called a startling trend -- robberies targeting mail carriers in Milwaukee.
We've learned that five people now face federal charges for their involvement.
Video from late April shows the moments before a carrier was held at gunpoint and robbed near 89th and Chambers.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for Eastern Wisconsin announced Friday, June 30, that five men have been arrested for similar attacks weeks before the incident. The armed robberies occurred between October 2022 and March 2023.
The following men face federal charges:

If convicted of conspiracy, each suspect faces up to five years in prison, and if convicted of theft of mail, each individual faces up to five years in prison.
