52-year-old dead after shooting near 38th and Good Hope

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, Dec. 28. 

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. near 38th and Good Hope. The 52-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Brown Deer police say they for a call for shots fired near 50th and Calumet Road, where they found a car in the ditch. 

Officials found a 39-year-old man alone inside the car with a gun. The police found that he was wanted by the Milwaukee police as a suspect in the 52-year-old's death. He was taken into custody. 

Police say nobody was hit by the shots fired by the suspect at the scene.
