MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Vintage military warplanes flew over Milwaukee's lakefront Friday.
It marked the 75th anniversary of VE Day, the day that Nazi Germany surrendered to the allies, ending that part of WWII.
Those planes had taken off from Waukesha County Airport and their flight path also included the VA Hospital.
Special drive-by parades were also held past several places where veterans live to show gratitude for their service.
