Milwaukee County Sheriff\'s Office

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man, 49-year-old Larry McAdoo, is facing six criminal charges after police discovered animals living in hazardous conditions during a separate investigation, according to a complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Milwaukee police officers responded to a home near the area of 9th and Locust and found multiple animals in feces-soiled environments on Friday, May 23.

Officers observed a strong odor throughout the home and found several dogs, including one in a pen covered in urine and feces, two more dogs in the urine and feces soiled basement, among others. Also, a rabbit was found along with birds in areas with accumulated waste.

The basement collected feces that had been on the ground so long that it was accumulating mold, the complaint states.

McAdoo is facing five misdemeanor counts of negligently failing to provide proper animal shelter sanitation and one felony count of bail jumping. Court records show he was previously convicted in 2023 of similar offenses and was out on bond for an unrelated felony at the time of the new allegations.
