Milwaukee family’s holiday tradition of giving lives on
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Thursday, Dec. 21, Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin sent out a statement on the ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.
"I support Israel's right to defend itself against Hamas, bring the hostages back home, and end the terrorist organization's threat- but it does not have the right to go to war against innocent Palestinian people," said Baldwin in the statement.
Yesterday during President Joe Biden's visit to Milwaukee, Congresswoman Gwen Moore stopped short of calling for a ceasefire, saying she supports the president's stance.
"I think Joe Biden and his team that everything sort of behind close doors, but now more publicly. Let Netyanu know that as best friends, we expect them to recognize the Geneva Conventions in warfare and expecting them to reduce civilian casualties," said Moore.
Congresswoman Moore says overall, she hopes for a peaceful solution to the Israel-Hamas war.
