MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The IRS is giving parents money from their child tax credit early.
That means instead of one lump sum in your tax refund, you'll get up to half of that money in monthly payments from now through December if you're eligible.
Parents aren't the only ones ready for a payout, unfortunately so are scammers.
Jim Temmer, the president of the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau, joined CBS 58 on Tuesday July 6 with tips to protect yourself from fraud.
