MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee community got some extra love Friday.
Bernie and the Brewers Racing Sausages handed out roses and valentines at the Milwaukee Public Market.
This new event is part of their statewide tour honoring local communities throughout the state.
Brewers leadership tells us it's important for them to be thanking fans.
"We are making that extra concerted effort to be thanking fans, to let fans know that we see them across the entire state and how incredibly grateful we are for their support," said Marti Wronski, chief operating officer, Milwaukee Brewers.
The mascots are now handing out valentines in other locations around the city.
