MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Former Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan announced Monday morning, April 25, that he will run for Wisconsin State Assembly.
Donovan will run for representative of the 84th district, a position currently held by republican Mike Kuglitsch.
"I think I have a good record of representing my constituents, so I'm excited about going out, talking to folks in Greenfield and Hales Corners, portions of Milwaukee, to see what the real issues are and try to be their voice in Madison," Donovan said.
Earlier this year Donovan ran for Milwaukee mayor, losing to Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson. The announcement that Donovan will run for Wisconsin's State Assembly comes less than a month after Johnson was sworn in as the new mayor.
