Body recovered from Lake Michigan at Eichelman Park identified as missing Kenosha teen

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Kenosha police say the body found in Lake Michigan has been identified as 18-year-old Kayla Sobczak of Kenosha.
Kayla's family reported her missing on Dec. 23, 2024, after last seeing her on Dec. 17.
Her death remains under investigation.

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to the Kenosha Police Department, a body was found in Lake Michigan on Sunday, March 9.
Police say they responded to Eichelman Park after receiving a call that a body was discovered in the lake.
They say the body -- identified as a female -- has been recovered and turned over to the medical examiner's office. The park has since reopened.
An investigation is ongoing.
